Compounding in pharmacies is extremely important from an economic perspective, for safeguarding public interest, and for improving the quality of patient treatment.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the importance of compounding, which is the art of the pharmacist, is undeniable, as it will prevent the frequent emergence of pharmacy models that marginalize the pharmacist today.<\/p>\n

The preparation of medicines, or magistral formulas, in our pharmacies has been continuously carried out since the academic development of pharmaceutical vocational training. Globally, the peak of industrial drug production in every aspect this century has led to a decline in pharmacy-based drug preparation, and has even gradually reduced physicians’ habit of prescribing compounded medications. <\/p>\n

Pharmacists in developed countries, who provide pharmaceutical education at the highest level, initiated their first efforts in 1986 to halt the decline in pharmacy pharmacists’ alienation from drug preparation in their workplaces. Although the Turkish Pharmacists’ Association (TEB) brought the same initiative to the agenda in our country in October of the same year under the title ‘Drug Production in Pharmacies’ and undertook some studies, unfortunately, no significant progress has been made to date. <\/p>\n

Production in pharmacies is, in fact, about bringing the ongoing compounding process to a contemporary level.<\/p>\n

In conclusion;<\/p>\n

THE PHARMACISTS OF THIS COUNTRY possess the knowledge and equipment to fulfill their duty in extraordinary circumstances or in the manufacturing of scarce medicines.<\/p>\n

We must recreate the phenomenon of compounding, which transforms pharmacies from mere logistical points for drug supply into productive centers where pharmacists manufacture medicines, thereby enhancing the pharmacist’s prestige in society.<\/p>\n

For all these reasons, we have decided to unite under an association to develop the Art of Compounding in our country through training programs and to remove the obstacles in its path. With your support, we will develop our Art and reach the level of contemporary countries in a short time\u2026 <\/p>\n

This invitation is for all of us\u2026<\/p>\n
