This week, I will write about a formula used in the treatment of warts and corns, which is quite simple to prepare.
As is known, “Warts” are a very common viral infection of the skin. They are benign tumors that form on the skin. They can appear anywhere on our body. The virus affects the cells in the topmost layer of the skin, causing cell proliferation and excessive keratin production.
“Corns”, on the other hand, are a skin condition characterized by thickening of the skin. They are usually painful. Sometimes they may peel. Sometimes they can present as a painless hardening.
After this brief reminder, moving on to our formula;
COLLODIUM SALICYLATUM
Rp
Acidi lactici ………….2.0 g
Acidi salicylici……….4.0 g
Collodii elastici ad.. 20.0 g
It is applied onto the wart or corn twice a day. It should be noted that it can cause irritation on intact skin. During application, the medication must not overflow beyond the wart or corn.
