Distilled water ……………….. 984 gAs formulated in the 1974 pharmacopoeia in our country,ALIBOUR WATERif we examine the substances contained in the solution;Copper sulfate-Copper Sulphate-Cuivre sulfate-Bluestone;It is a blue crystalline substance. It dissolves in 3 parts water and 3.5 parts glycerin. It is insoluble in alcohol. Copper sulfate and other soluble copper salts exert an astringent effect on mucous membranes; concentrated solutions have a corrosive effect. The primary copper salts used in treatment are: Copper chloride, copper sulfate, and copper gluconate.Zinc sulfate – Sulfate de zinc T.K. – Zinksulfat; It is colorless, prismatic crystals. It dissolves in 0.66 parts of water, 0.15 parts of boiling water, and 23 parts of glycerin. Insoluble in alcohol. Topically applied zinc exhibits astringent, weak antiseptic, and disinfectant effects. This effect is due to zinc ions precipitating proteins. It is bactericidal and fungicidal. Its 0.1%-1% solution is used as an eye antiseptic and its 4%-5% solution as a skin antiseptic. It has a mild vasodilator effect. It does not exhibit decongestant activity.Saffron – Saffron – Crocus; It consists of the dried stigmas of Crocus sativus from the Iridaceae «Iris» family. Saffron ranges in color from dark orange to brownish-red, approximately 2 cm long when dry, and 3-3.5 cm long when moistened. Saffron has a strong aroma, a spicy and bitterish taste; when crushed between the fingers, a slightly oily sensation is felt. In addition, it has excitant (stimulant) and emmenagogue effects.Dosage : Its powder is used in doses of 0.2 – 0.8 g, and its tincture in doses of 4 – 10 g. Physical Properties: Camphor tincture is a colorless, clear liquid with the characteristic scent and taste of camphor. Its composition consists of 1 part camphor and 9 parts alcohol (90°).Preparation of the Formula; The calculated amount of copper sulfate is weighed on a watch glass, transferred to a glass mortar, and thoroughly pulverized. Zinc sulfate is added and mixed into it, and 1/3 of the water is added to dissolve the powdered mass in the mortar. Then, the camphorated spirit and saffron tincture are thoroughly mixed in an Erlenmeyer flask. The remaining water is added, shaken well, allowed to stand for 24 hours, filtered into a bottle, and labeled. It can generally be applied externally to the skin, either diluted or pure.
In cases of accidental ingestion, it can primarily cause digestive issues and neurological problems. It is among the medications to be stored separately (Separanda). For external use only. It should be kept in closed bottles protected from light. The solution can be stored for approximately 20 to 25 days at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. If kept for a long period, its yellow color will fade.Astringent and protectiveused as an agent (protectant).
