Harnstoff – Urea – Carbamide – Carbamidum – Ureia – Ureum;Urea is used topically in the treatment of psoriasis and in cases where a keratolytic effect is desired. It occurs as transparent to white prismatic crystals or as a white crystalline powder. 1 g dissolves in 1.5 ml of water and 10 ml of alcohol. It is generally used at concentrations of 2–20%, and sometimes at higher concentrations. It is also indicated for the treatment of dry skin. On hyperkeratotic skin, it exerts a mild keratolytic effect.Lactic acid –Lactic acid – Milk acid – Acide lactique – Lactic acid – Acidi lactici – Acide lactique T.K. ;Lactic acid is a colorless or light yellow, hygroscopic, odorless liquid with a syrupy consistency and an acidic taste. Lactic acid is miscible with water, alcohol, and ether, and is practically insoluble in chloroform. It is a corrosive poison. Lactic acid is applied topically. Lactic acid should be stored at room temperature below 30°C in tightly closed, airtight containers.
